The #MEER team experimenting to verify the calibration of sensors in extreme solar radiation, humidity, & wind flow using a square glass chamber to create an absolute condition. The calibration phase will run for 4 weeks to observe the sensors' accuracy in extreme conditions.

This is a great demonstration of reflectivity or the albedo effect. It is crucial to save our 'Earthshine' to keep the Earth's energy in balance and enhance the reflectivity of cities to reduce the Heat Island effect. #MEER

During their visit to the experimental sites in #India , the #MEER team heard harrowing stories from local residents about living in ongoing heatwaves. People living in these conditions have little or no access to cooling methods, making heat adaptation measures very urgent.

#Tanzania project flyover shows what #MEER #ultracool rooftops look like from above. Passive cooling technology reduces the cavity temps by up to 12C. As the world continues to warm, affordable, durable, & scalable cooling solutions are required. In partnership with Open Development & Education.

The picture below shows our project in Tanzania which has been yielding great results to date. The latest analysis shows that the inside roof cavity is up to 12°C cooler with the MEER sheeting installed. The site is also a comparison test site in partnership with Open Development & Education.
