Really, really exciting to see boxes of black hole data at the start of their journey to us for EHT correlation! They’re here now and they’re in good hands 🤓 Thanks, Dr. Amy Lowitz, and many others!
ow.ly/gn3A50OE7Wa .The Boston Globe columnist Tom Farragher spotlights how researchers from MIT Haystack Observatory have built an “ice penetrator,” a device designed to help scientists study how sea ice is changing.
Thanks for talking to us about our climate change work, The Boston Globe! Our 'science lawn darts' will next be deployed by helicopter in Antarctica to help measure and study the ice sheets—stay tuned for more on this team's research. (Also, great photo!)

This was also my first time using Adobe Lightroom's enhanced denoise. It worked very well -> comparison below.
Fantastic seminar this afternoon DIAS Astronomy & Astrophysics by Dr. Mary Knapp and Phil Erickson from MIT Haystack Observatory. Lots of exciting ideas for the future of solar system (and exoplanet) radio emission studies with flexible observing platforms like CubeSats and constellations.

Woohoo! Excited to start this study with Dr. Erika Palmerio and Lenny Paritsky. We want to watch Earth, Jupiter, and Saturn light up in the radio as they get pummeled by solar weather. Whole planets as sensors! Thanks NASA Sun & Space for funding this work.
