My Waterloo Region DSB public school provided me with blocks of intensive speech therapy.

I am now a published author and am frequently asked to speak.

When we provide kids with the right supports at the right time, they thrive.

I look back on these moments with pride. Dr Walker and I ran an emergency shelter to house nearly 200 migrants who showed up in our town on Halloween. Dignified, trauma informed, culturally appropriate housing and the control of diseases was our goal. Working on our book now.
