Great domestic abuse conference in Birmingham yesterday run by Tracey and the team The Haven Wolverhampton - it was great for our Chair Mark Brooks to also meet Dawn Stamp Out Spiking - 26% of spiking victims are male.

1 in 3 domestic abuse incidents reported to the police in the UK are reported by men. 50% of domestic abuse incidents are bi-directional (i.e. both partners perpetrate). Of the remaining 50% that are uni-directional, women are the perpetrators in 70% of cases 🧵

'We found that..regardless of whether the alienating parent was a mother or a father, they were more likely to have a substantiated claim of abuse against them than the alienated parent.' Denying PA serves to protect abusive parents, regardless of gender.

We are urging survivors to contact their GP Surgery and request that their personal medical records are not shared in the #NHS App

From 1st November your records will automatically be made available through the app, with some surgeries already having rolled out this service.
