Very glad to see that the 🇹🇷 Supreme Election Council #YSK has corrected a wrongful decision giving finally the mayorship of #Van to its legitimate winner: DEM Parti candidate Abdullah Zeydan. Hope this marks the end of any attempt not to respect the results in the region.

In hiking policy rates against expectations today by 500bps, the central bank of Turkey sent two strong signals: a) we are independent; b) we are determined to fight inflation. Hugely positive result.

The #EU deal with #Egypt attracts predictable criticisms from #HumanRights organizations,

It is obviously driven by fears of irregular migration and drives the EU away from its traditional defense of #RuleOfLaw .
