A devastating loss for Ely Museum, a regionally significant Bronze Age find secured for the museum via the Treasure Act, only to be lost through theft. We hope the CCTV images released will help bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
Happy Liberation Day to everyone in the Channel Islands and a Bouanne Libéthâtion to Jersey in particular! Here's a short clip from my whopping 'Complete History Of Jersey (in just under 10 minutes)' taking in those important 5 years in our history. #Liberation79
Some news - I’m delighted and honoured to be taking on the role of President for the Royal Archaeological Institute! Looking forward to getting stuck in and seeing some of our members at the Spring meeting in Newark this weekend.

This is so interesting and relevant to #archaeology - professional business models don’t support early/mid career development. Built environment sectors should collaborate more.
Unionism isn’t easy in sectors with many employers but still worth it - better T&Cs.

I had the real pleasure of going walking with Jim on Monday to record a walk around his patch. We will be making the walk into an online resource as part of ArchaeologyUK’s new Out and About Archaeology event over the weekend of 18th and 19th May. His book Footmarks is brilliant
We are devastated to hear of the loss of loved heritage in a theft at Ely Museum. We encourage anyone who can to reach out and show support for Ely Museum and their local community.
If you have any information regarding the theft please contact Cambridgeshire Police.
