For 9 years, Russia has occupied Crimea and subjected its residents to a campaign of brutalization and repression. But the people of Ukraine have not backed down, not even after the Kremlin’s illegal and horrific invasion. Crimea is Ukraine. Russia’s aggression must end.

On this day in 1939, Stalin made 'peace' with Hitler, dividing up other people's land, creating spheres of influence and so-called 'republics'. The oppression continued for decades. There was no 'peace', there was only misery and murder. Now you know why Ukraine keeps fighting.
