John Davis MU a true student athlete university. No free rides in the classroom or on the fields or courts. Better be ready to work.

Had a kid last year that didn’t care for D3 just by what he read or was told. Took him to a game and he had a new perspective after. The talent is there. Played with guys who transferred out and played at D1s. Don’t knock it until you know.

John Davis Texas Football Life Agree 💯 There’s a ton of great universities that have top notch football programs. “A lot”of good D3football.com in the Lone Star State, should players not want to leave Texas. Use that bye week and help showcase your players - get them to a college venue as much as you can!

With that if any coaches want to pull up to Dallas,PA this season you are welcome hit me up…

I didn’t see my 1st D3 game until 2005 Bridgewater vs Randy MAC Bridgewater was super talented had a lot of scholarship caliber players on that team scored 50 like it was easy..

Not just players, HS coaches too! When I was coaching D3 it would blow me away how many HS coaches wanted me to recruit their 5-9 185lb Center thinking “oh you guys are just D3”. They had no clue how big or athletic our dudes were

I tell my players that don't want to play at the D3 level, go watch Neumann MBB or Ursinus Basketball play and you'll understand! These kids in both programs are players!!!

I know this is related to football but I highly recommend it for any sport. Most high school players have no clue how good most d3 sports are.

John Davis Besides the football aspect the choice of college/relationships built can positively effect the next 30 plus years. Because in 15 years no one cares if you played dI, d2 d3 or NAIA

John Davis Yes Sir. I'm ALL about ensuring our players are exposed to DIII, local and a bit far. The perfect educational opportunity may be at that DIII school, and a player even if he is D1 talent, may decide that's the best fit. Who am I to decide that... so Expose him to all levels.…

John Davis And make them bring their parents! Because they are the ones filling these kid’s heads with grandiose ideas

HS coaches reach out to your local D3 school and set up a Gameday visit for your JV guys this season. Most players who believe they are too good for D3 have never seen a game….. they won’t know how good the ball is unless you expose them to it early.
