Despite the Premier admitting wrongdoing on the Greendale file, no one appears to be losing their job. I asked housing Minister Clark why his Chief of Staff had not resigned and if he himself had talk to the Premier about he resigning, he did not answer the question directly.

The auditor general’s report is a thorough dismantling of pretty much everything the government has said about how and why it cut into the Greenbelt. None of it was true. The government’s choice to repeat those untruths again now is telling.

Important to note, most homes being proposed for Greenbelt are not affordable or attainable - per their new phrasing.

Went into town to get some wifi for a minute, and I have two things to say: holy moly, and our reporting was right.

This report is damning for the Ford government.|

It finds that a high-ranking political staffer “substantially controlled & directed” the process of removing land from the Greenbelt, gave “preferential treatment” & direct access to certain developers, & muzzled public servants

What's more, the AG found that Developers/landowners could see a $8.28 billion increase in the value of their land after the removal of 15 sites from the Greenbelt. Premier Ford will respond to all this at a 1PM news conference. Full coverage live on CityNews Toronto 4/4
