I've had a bunch of close friends leave teaching and start working in the private sector. Without fail, every single one of them says they are less stressed, their work/life balance is better, and their mental health is better, even though some are making less money.

A good thing would be for men to also start speaking up about how many abortions they have had and how their lives would’ve changed irrevocably if they hadn’t had that choice and free will as an option available to them and that partner. We are in this together. Stand with us.

Sending a little extra love today to the trans men and non-binary people whose rights to abortion were also taken away today but who keep getting left out of the conversation.

Cis men are living lives deeply impacted by somebody’s ability to have an abortion and it’s high time y’all talk about it.

Abortion has never been just a “women’s” issue-and allowing it to be treated like one is precisely why it’s so easy for them to dismantle our rights.

When I started teaching I made $38K. I had one degree. I went back to school and got another degree, taught for 16 years, and I left making 41K. After inflation, I made much less in my 16th year than I did in my 1st. That’s what’s happening to teachers across the country.

Aw, remember two years ago when teachers were heroes? Good times. Good times.
