I had a lovely morning. I got to meet ronan leonard and also had the pleasure of bumping into Kelly earlier, so we enjoyed a chat on the way.

I love Dublin. Big enough to get lost but small enough to bump into people.

Something interesting going on in Irish writing re depiction of the male psyche. Deep, nuanced, complex portrayals by Donal Ryan, Mike McCormack, Adrian Duncan. Not just male writers: Jan Carson & Wendy Erskine also excellent. Moving away from men shown as alcoholic farm animals.
