New: in a rather surprising escalation, strong tornadoes are possible over eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.

A tornado watch is up in yellow until 10 p.m.

The enhanced risk (3/5, orange) for TOMORROW has been expanded by the NWS Storm Prediction Center to cover a large portion of the Deep South: Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia & South Carolina

🌪️ Tornadoes, damaging winds and hail are possible today across a wide swath from northeast Texas to the Carolinas, particularly in the Mississippi River and Tennessee Valleys and parts of the Mid- South.
