Good evening from the midnight shift.....

With all this moonlight and Halloween nearly here, it's probably time for a creepy overnight playlist.

Full moon over Western Washington this evening. The actual time of the full moon was 1:23 pm Saturday afternoon. If you are wondering what is right below the moon it is the planet Jupiter. Unfortunately no International Space Station passes over the area the next few days.

Chilly start to the weekend but with plenty of sunshine today temps will warm into the 50s this afternoon. Very slow warming trend into the middle of next week with rain returning Wednesday through Friday.

It's going to be a cold night for the last week of October here in Western Washington but nothing like what is going on in Montana this evening.

Hey, it's the midnight shift checking in. Brisk night out there huh? We don't know about you, but we could really use a playlist about now. Luckily, I had one drafted up.

The cold continues through Friday bringing additional chances for frost and hard freezes. We've issued another Frost Advisory for most lowland locations tonight and a Freeze Warning for Friday night with even colder lows that could bring an end to the growing season.🥶

Ok, so Sting has 'Moon Over Bourbon Street'.

And, we've got 'Moon over Elliott Bay'. And it's a stunner. View courtesy of our friends at Space Needle.

Here at NWS Seattle, it's our coldest morning since the 27th of March. And colder mornings lie ahead. Nearly all of Western Washington will see temperatures at or below freezing on Saturday morning.

Fortunately, though, stargazing conditions are excellent this A.M.

Happy Wednesday! Precipitation continues to fall across the region. Snow is on the ground in the mountains - use caution if traveling up today. Cool air is also on its way, with possible frost conditions setting up tomorrow morning.

Hey , you broke your record rainfall for today with 0.93' so far. The previous record was 0.90' in 2001.

The rain looks to continue through Wednesday morning, with another half inch or so possible.
