Members of Hwy 2 continue enforcement against counterfeit license plates. These vehicles were being driven on the Highway in Brooklyn. These vehicle’s were unregistered and uninsured…its operators have all been taken into custody and the vehicles have been towed.

Job well done by the NYPD 110th Precinct Public Safety Team. While on routine patrol, they observed an illegally parked car with a missing plate. The driver was in possession of a loaded gun, multiple loaded magazines, bullet proof vest, & other weapons. A disaster was averted!

Our initiative at the Henry Hudson Bridge this week was another success. From obscured plates to illegally operated 2-wheel vehicles, we remind motorists to ensure all vehicles are registered and insured.

Another successful initiative was conducted with more vehicle seizures on the Henry Hudson Bridge. Reminder to all motorists: vehicles need to be registered and plates displayed properly. We are watching, drive safely. Thanks to everyone involved.

Last Friday, your Auxiliary and Traffic Safety Officers provided valuable education on pedestrian and traffic safety to seniors. It is crucial for everyone to prioritize safety while navigating the roads, whether on foot or in a vehicle.

Congratulations to PO. Justin Roman, and PO Ricardo Perez from the 62nd Pct. for their proactive efforts, which lead to the arrest of 2 individuals operating an unregistered 2 wheeled scooter. One of the operators of the 2 wheeled scooter was in possession of an illegal firearm.

Yesterday was a successful operation working together with the 46 Pct. These illegal vehicles not only are dangerous, but house and repair illegal motor bikes throughout the city.

First annual blood drive honoring the life of Detective Anastasios, Tsakos who paid the ultimate sacrifice on 04/27/21. Joining us was his wife, son and DEA as well as members of Highway 3. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today we honor Police officer Kenton E. Britt, who was killed in the line of duty. Family & Friends, the PBA & members of Highway 3. joined to dedicate this memorial headstone. This department will never forget those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

In the early morning hours Sunday, while most of us slept, NYPD officers confronted an armed and dangerous individual. First Responders will always be willing to put themselves in harm’s way so that others may be safe, as these brave officers did last night.
