The slowing of the #AMOC is already leaving a 'Blue Blob' at the top of the world. This is producing a low-pressure system over this region, sending hotter weather into #Europe for now. If the AMOC eventually shuts off, Northern Europe will be sent into deep freeze.

There ain't as much loco down in #Acapulco these days. After the devastating Category 5 #hurricane hit the city, it is now surrounded by #wildfires . The climate has become so unpredictable and many are feeling the full force of an altered #atmosphere .

The 2023 average #Sea Surface #Temperature (SST) for the seas around #Europe were the warmest ever recorded in the 1991-2020 reference period. No wonder many marine species are struggling to survive, and dolphins are dying off the coast of #Spain and elsewhere.

Amazing images show the effects of the latest rainfall in Freetown. Prior to the downpour, the rooftops were coated with dust from the Sahara desert, lowering their albedo. However, the rain naturally washed the #MEER rooftops clean, & the albedo was restored to its maximum level
