A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged after officers executed a warrant at an address in the Milnafua area of Alness, around 10am on Tuesday, 30 April, 2024. Heroin and cocaine, worth £32,000, and a large sum of money were recovered.

Adam Pentacost (34) has been jailed for 11 years in connection with child exploitation, sexual and drugs offences in the Inverness area, which happened between 2020 and 2022.

Around 2.15pm on Friday, 26 April, 2024, a body was discovered just outside Aviemore.

Formal identification is still to take place, however the family of Rodrigo Falcon, who was reported missing from the area in December 2022, have been informed.

Officers continue to appeal for information following disappearance of Derek Hepburn two years ago.

It is thought Derek, who was 53-years-old at the time, intended to go walking in the Highlands. He was last in contact with family on 24 April, '22.
