Not a single State has strengthened its air quality standards to incorporate the World Health Org updated guidelines from 2021.

On 20 August 2023, Ecuador 🇪🇨 held a historic referendum 🗳️putting a stop to oil drilling in the Ishpingo-Tambococha-Tiputini (ITT) oil project located in the Yasuní National Park.
