I'm quoted saying testing (only) cows crossing state lines is a 'drop in the bucket'.

But at least it is a start, sampling asymptomatic cattle, which will yield important insights even if it might not stop spread.

Great article on H5N1 👇🏻

And as gross as it is that milk is “kind of yellow and more viscous”, clinical signs occur in only about 10% of cases. Thus there are potentially huge numbers of infected animals with no observable disease at all. Asymptomatic testing is urgently needed.
