Our Country Office in 🇹🇷 is doing tremendous work, positively impacting public health despite difficulties like last year's devastating earthquakes. I met today with World Health Organization in Türkiye staff to commend their efforts & assure them of my support in addressing any challenges they face.

Grateful to RD WHO/Europe for inviting me to Copenhagen to welcome Dame J. Harries Chief Executive UK Health Security Agency. Hans Kluge has reiterated that the Pan-European Network for Disease Control whose steering group is chaired by Prof Harries, is essential for implementing Preparedness 2.0
Excited to expand partnerships developed by WHO/Europe PHHE and initiate fruitful collaboration with @SESRIC, a subsidiary organ of the Organization of Islamic States (@OIC_OCI). Together, we aim to better prepare our Member States for humanitarian and health emergencies
Now launched! The WHO/Europe Geospatial hub in #Istanbul will coordinate the implementation of @WHO regional geospatial activities for faster, informed public health decisions by Member States.
