For the past year or so we’ve been working in the background to set up ‘The Burnett Prize for Writing’ - an inter-prison creative writing competition in memory of one of our incredible artists.

Junior was our Music Peer Mentor and the Head Mentor for Education Weston College Prison Education. Junior's story really shows the impact positive progression within HMP Portland can have on individuals. Well done Junior 👏

We have been recognised in the 'Celebrating Wildlife and People' directory. Partnerships with @GOOP_Prisonhort and Weston College Prison Education, and the dedication of staff & prisoners are creating career opportunities & supporting positive pathways for release. Well done, everyone 👏🌱🌷

Junior was one of our learners and a peer mentor for 2 years in the music classroom at HMP Portland. He is now using rap and spoken word to normalise normal life and deter people from a life of crime.
