We will soon welcome the Douglas Dakota DC3 (G-ANAF) from Aero Legends. Whilst our Dakota is away for maintenance, we will host their Dakota in our hangar to help with storage. In return, our crews will train in the Dakota before they fly the Lancaster in 2023!

Today we were delighted to host 102-year-old Second World War Veteran Henry Townsley, who was a Lancaster Flight Engineer during his time in service, to RAF Coningsby with his family.

Had to rummage a bit but found a picture of TE311 from back in 2018 to mark 10 years with RAF BBMF

10 years ago today, TE311 had her first flight post-renovation. She was initially only to be used for spare parts, but in 2002 a 10-year re-build to flying condition commenced before she took to the air for the first time in 58 years in October 2012!

We had a great day at THORPE PARK Resort for the @acspartnerships STEAM event for 10000 school children. It was a pleasure to meet so many children with huge career aspirations and be able to share how historic aviation meets science, technology, engineering and maths!
