The 'safety myth' makes it is easier to believe the world is a safe place, rather than acknowledge anyone at anytime can be impacted by sexual trauma.

There is nothing a victim/survivor does to deserve sexual violence. The responsibility lies with the perpetrator!

Feeling lonely after sexual assault, is a normal & valid response to sexual trauma. It can have an insidious impact on relationships & someone's ability to connect to other people.

Prolonged periods of lonliness can be detrimental for our mental health.
