Big news today –

California is set to receive almost $600 million from Department of Housing and Urban Development to help tackle homelessness and increase access to housing.

We will need much more, but this means more access to quality, safe, and affordable housing options in towns and cities across our state.

As we honor #AAPIHeritageMonth , we do so at a time when the AAPI community is facing unprecedented challenges.

Grateful for the chance to meet with CA local and state leaders today to discuss these issues – and what we can do to make sure our communities are safe and supported.

First, the Supreme Court delays Trump’s Jan 6 prosecution.

Then Trump-appointed Judge Cannon postpones his trial in Florida.

Now this in Georgia.

The courts are deliberately delaying justice — and effectively denying it.

Thank you, President Biden for your powerful speech today. And your fierce condemnation of rising antisemitism in the United States & across the globe.

We must come together to combat this ancient hatred.

That starts with having leaders willing to call it out – in all of its forms.

Today is Yom HaShoah.

A day to remember the horrors of the Holocaust.

To remember the six million Jews and millions of others murdered by the Nazis.

And with antisemitism on the rise across the world — a time to rededicate ourselves to an all-important promise:

For too long, DACA recipients have been barred from getting the coverage they deserve – despite paying billions in taxes each year.

This decision by President Biden will help improve the health and well-being of thousands of DACA recipients in California and across the country.

From ambitious climate goals, to protecting access to reproductive care and so much more – California is leading the nation.

That’s in large part thanks to the hard work of Senate President pro Tempore and the California State Senate.
