We can start by passing my bipartisan National Nursing Workforce Center Act - part of my #JOBSAgenda - to invest in our next generation of nurses!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. That is why today, I was proud to wear green with many of my colleagues and say that there is no shame in seeking care for your mental health.

Together, we can dedicate necessary resources, make care accessible, and break this stigma.

This month, we honor the diverse cultures and great impact of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities across our state and nation.

I recently visited Gilpin Hall in Wilmington - which is celebrating its 200th birthday - to tour their facility. I'm thankful for the opportunity to spend the morning learning more about the care and services they provide Delawareans.

Menopause is a naturally occurring phase of life but too many go into it with little or no guidance. I'm proud to stand with allies like @HalleBerry, Senator Patty Murray & Yvette D. Clarke as we ignite our #MenopauseMovement .

On this Holocaust Remembrance Day, I'm reflecting on my visit to @YadVashem and their Children’s Memorial - memorial candles flickering in a dark room to represent the stars in the night sky. We always remember the atrocities of the Holocaust & stand against antisemitism & hate.

It was great to be at the M.O.M.S. Tour’s community baby shower in Wilmington today! As we work to pass legislation like the #Momnibus , I am so grateful to Rev. Dr. Que English, HHS Partnerships Director and so many important stakeholders for bringing all these supportive resources to our community.

Thank you to all the Delawareans who came out to my office’s Senior Constituent Resource Fair today in Lewes! As a former caseworker, I am also thankful for all of the agencies and community partners who came to provide assistance and help serve our seniors.

It was my pleasure to welcome Delaware’s 2024 Teacher of the Year, Cory Hafer, to the Capitol yesterday! Mr. Hafer is an engineering teacher at Middletown High School and I could not be more grateful for all he does to empower his students to become lifelong learners!

To end Second Chance Month, I was happy to be with The Clean Slate Initiative yesterday for a roundtable discussion on the Clean Slate Act. There are now 12 states with laws on the books & we just got two new cosponsors — one from each side of the aisle. There is momentum for Clean Slate!

Today is the last day of National Minority Health Month and there’s never been more of a need for diversity in our health workforce. We can get more people the culturally competent care they need, close disparities in health outcomes, and ultimately, save lives.

This is historic news! Thank you to President Biden for taking this major step and for doing the right thing. We have more work to do to right generations of wrongs – including passing my Clean Slate Act – so we can continue our march towards justice.

I was honored to receive the STEM Champion Award from Samsung US at their Solve for Tomorrow Annual STEM Competition this morning. While there, the team from Brandywine High School was announced as one of the national winners! I am so proud of these impressive students!
