Rishi Sunak wants you to believe the economy has ‘turned a corner’ and that you’re better off than ever.

This is the reality 👇

An asylum system – rebuilt. The criminal gangs – smashed. The exploitation of some of the most vulnerable people in the world – prevented.

That is the future you can choose. That is what my mission-driven Labour government will deliver.

No gimmicks. Just graft.

Finding the PM and Chancellor’s ‘victory’ lap, telling us that the economy is going great guns, outrageous.

Do you feel like we’ve ‘turned a corner’? Are you better off now, after Truss’ mortgage bombshell & the cost of living crisis?

The corner can only be turned with Labour.

Labour says it will seek to rejoin the EU's Eurodac fingerprinting database which identifies asylum seekers and illegal migrants.

It says this will enable the Home Office to quickly identify individuals who have already been rejected for asylum in Europe and fast-track their…

People have a right to expect security at our borders.

When I was the country’s chief prosecutor, we smashed terrorist gangs abroad.

If I’m privileged enough to become Prime Minister, we will smash the people-smuggling gangs.

An absolute pleasure this evening to speak to students advocating for Labour in Marlborough College’s school election next week. Took me back to a mock election at Ridgeway School in 1997 😱 Good luck, team!

The Conservatives have let water companies illegally pollute our rivers with raw sewage.

Labour will block water bosses' bonuses and put them in the dock if they keep breaking the law.

With Labour, the polluter - not the public - will pay.

For those wondering who would gain East Wiltshire at the General Election if today's YouGov poll were the result - let's ask Electoral Calculus.

This is a new parliamentary seat, on new boundaries. It's Labour who are the challengers to the Tories in East Wiltshire.

The poll that matters is the one on election day but the message to the Tories is clear: time for change.

YouGov’s recent megapoll put Labour in a clear 2nd place to the Tories in East Wilts.

The choice is 5 more years of Tory chaos, or a strong voice in the next Labour Govt.

Only the Labour Party under Keir Starmer, with Yvette Cooper, will secure the borders.

It's one of the reasons so many former are coming to .

Another week, another MP comes to Labour.

Last week it was a Tory crossing the floor because Rishi Sunak has left the NHS on its knees. This week it’s because he can’t control our borders.

They’re making the journey we’re inviting Conservative voters to make at the election 🌹

Another day, another example of a public service on its knees thanks to the Conservatives.

This time they’re letting out prisoners early - again - to try and relieve pressure on prisons strained to breaking point, because they’ve failed to build the capacity needed.

Shambolic.

The safety and security of our Forces - whether deployed abroad, or at home - is absolutely paramount. We need answers, quickly, on this data breach; and obvious flaws in UK data security need fixing, fast.

“The Tory record on defence is 14 years of failure. Our UK Armed Forces are respected worldwide for their total professionalism. They can’t afford another five years of the Conservatives.”

The Conservatives will tell you the country is turning a corner and that everything is fine.

But after 14 years of chaos from the Conservatives, do you feel better off?

The choice at the next election is clear: change with Labour or costly chaos from the Conservatives.

A pleasure to meet Ruth Lambert on Friday (fresh faced from the local elections!) to talk about priorities for SMEs - the vast majority of businesses in our country, and the backbone of our economy.

If we’re going to have stronger growth, SMEs have to be at the heart of it.
