2. Program chair A.A.Tichavakunda developed the best, most timely theme for a conference I’ve ever seen. Then, he created a program around it that was rigorous & coherent. Do you know what an achievement that is? Big thanks to everyone who presented & asked generative questions!

Thanks to A.A.Tichavakunda for putting together a phenom Sociology of Education Association program 🔥

Thankful for a wonderful Sociology of Education Association meeting this weekend. 3 highlights:

1. Keynote speaker Karida Brown asked to forego her honorarium to buy copies of her book for all conference attendees. Best conference swag ever. Extra copies will go to a school in Oakland.

With a brilliant first session of papers exploring what happens after college exit & graduation, a masterclass keynote by Profe Daniel Solórzano and these views… Sociology of Education Association is off to a firesome start
