Officers responded to the area of 6th/Jessie on Apr 13 at approx. 4:48 AM on a report of a shooting. Officers located an adult victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was declared deceased at the hospital. ➡️ tinyurl.com/338x6aen

Our members did not hesitate to join the #DenimDay movement and show their protest against sexual violence. This day is devoted to spreading awareness about sexual violence issues, supporting survivors, and educating ourselves and others.

The SFPD Marine Unit was recently recognized by the Board of Supervisors for their valiant efforts in rescuing four individuals who were aboard a capsized vessel. With the assistance of USCGNorCal, all four victims were transported to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Well done!

We're proud to highlight some of our department's best ambassadors - the SFPD Mounted Unit! This unit dates back to 1864 and is the 2nd oldest Mounted Patrol in the country after New York City. They supplement patrols throughout the city and can be seen at numerous events!
