Today, we broke ground for the renovation of then Thomas Dongan Playground. This important community park was in dire need of repairs and was flooded all too frequently. This new design will not only provide a long-needed update but also improve drainage on the site

Today, our union, along with teachers who work at schools in Manhattan and the Bronx as well as Staten Island Borough President Staten Island Borough President Vito J. Fossella, filed a federal lawsuit asking the court to halt the implementation of congestion pricing in Manhattan.
