1/2 Building on these findings, in a recent study for CoRE-NRW Sophia Rothut and ourselves found that most studies in the field of online radicalization do not account for differences in online environments.

2/2 Those that account for it predominantly look at the same 3 platforms: Twitter, YouTube and Facebook, creating highly under-researched areas across the social media landscape. bit.ly/3xg4HMC

Sophia Rothut from Team Rieger LMU provides a comprehensive overview about the state of knowledge on mainstreaming by means of a systematic literature review of n = 143 papers (selected out of over 4k articles through manual checking).
