Today, we were invited to meet The Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duchy of Cornwall in Nansleden. We were represented by our Chief Executive, Henry Meacock, alongside our Homeless Support Coordinator, Faye Hookins and one of our residents.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall this afternoon visited the site of a new homeless housing project in Yeoman Way, Newquay, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Sir Edward Bolitho).

The Duke met members of the local beach community, including RNLI Head of Lifeguard Services and RNLI Lead Lifeguard Supervisor.

They talked His Royal Highness through our lifeguard service in the area. In 2023, RNLI lifeguards in Cornwall aided 6,973 people.
