Today the City of Seaside and the YWCA of Monterey County hosted a walk to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which included resources tables and talks by Police Chief Nick Borges and YWCA CEO Christine Duncan

Seaside has budgeted $500,000 in the 22/23 fiscal year to enhance community and social services. CBO’s can request funding up to an amount not to exceed $100,000. Proposals will be accepted from Oct 3, 2022 until Nov 4, 2022 at 5p.

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Week, the YWCA Monterey County will be hosting a walk in Seaside TODAY, Wednesday, October 19 from 4pm to 6pm.

The walk will begin at Seaside City Hall and participants are encouraged to wear purple for domestic violence awareness.

The City of Seaside’s Family and Community Support Program is a unique and pioneering FREE social assistance program as our team of highly-experienced social workers are readily available to help Seaside residents by being locally mobile - We’re HERE for you!

Seaside Police Department cordially invites the community to join us on Tuesday, October 25th at 4PM inside the City Council Chambers for the Promotional Swearing-In Ceremony of Police Chief Nicholas Borges.
