#China 's top legislative body recently rebuked the use of collective punishment against family members when certain crimes are committed. At #HRC55 , I told China Mission Geneva this should apply to relatives of HRDs -many of whom serve very long terms- who often face harsh reprisals.
Why is UN body UN Office on Drugs & Crime supporting a Chinese Communist Party entity that is responsible for widespread & systematic human rights violations at home, as well as openly engaged in mass extrajudicial policing operations violating other nations’ sovereignty?
