I agree. I would go as far as suggesting that the ethos of #Palliative care could completely overlap with disease management instead of being a sliver from the start.
It is synonymous with just good care. 🌸
The healthcare system tends towards sameness, standard care, efficiencies.
A person is turned into a patient.
#Palliative care reverses this sterilization & resuscitates the human.
A specialty that ‘course corrects’ a system off track.
Why not fix the problem?

Why are #Voluteers in our #Healthcare system so important?
There are many obvious reasons.
The less obvious one?
They help make the #Patient & #Caregiver feel seen, feel unique & feel like people in a system that favours sameness.
