We all have different strengths & weaknesses we have to work with.

• Discover how you personally move most efficiently
• Sync up your natural movements & transitions
• Master the fundamentals & let your style be your style

Don’t try to be anyone but yourself.

Holding hands together longer can help you,

• Stay sideways, delay rotation
• Build a more dynamic hand split
• Gather additional momentum to use
• Initiate a positive 1st move to home plate prior to splitting

Strategies to make bullpens game-like:

• Use stand-in hitters
• Throw with intensity
• Switch the ball every 4-6 pitches
• Simulate hitters/situations (Ex: runner on 3rd, 1 out)
• Throw up/downs, simulate an inning then sit for 5 min, then hop back on mound

Velocity tip 💡

• Throw against a closed front hip to give yourself a fixed post to rotate into

• Think about wrapping your back hip into your front hip

Pitching philosophy

Staying aggressive means less overthinking.

• Play OFFENSE on the mound
• Know the hitter to control the hitter
• Keep pressure on the hitter
• Present pitches as strikes & let stuff play in & out of zone
• Throw any pitch in any count

Addressing your goals for the off-season should be simple. Here’s an example:

1. Establish ground connection
2. Establish active tendencies through the middle of my body
3. Begin to implement momentum while maintaining the feeling of pelvic rotation

Excited for Matt’s return. He is going to be a huge piece for us.

Dawg mindset. Type of guy that can help you as a starter or out of the pen right away.

Playing catch with a softball is a great way to learn to get your hand out front.

Throwing a softball can also,

• Strengthen your arm
• Improve your arm action
• Help you learn to drive the ball to the target
• Build enhanced feel of your off speed pitches

Foot down, then throw. The feeling we’re searching for.

Allow your delivery to happen, get to a strong position at foot strike, then bring down the house.

Stay sideways as long as possible.

Rhythm before foot strike & violence after. Rotate late, be patient.
