On my 40th birthday, I told my wife, Emily, 'If I were 10 years younger, I think I'd go to law school.'

I'd said that a few times, mostly as a regret—a possibility that had passed.

HBCUs are responsible for:

40% of Black engineers,
50% of all Black teachers,
70% of all Black doctors and dentists,
And 80% of all Black judges.

Today I’m proud to announce we’ve invested over $16 billion in HBCUs, the most ever by any Administration.

In 2020 I served on a joint Biden/Bernie criminal justice reform task force for Joe Biden. One of our recommendations was to reclassify marijuana. This policy change is a long time coming AND is a really big deal. Thankful for progress and President Biden!
