Gail: It's great to spend some proper time with you, Jeremy. When I first met you, I thought you were a bit of a loser.

If this is true, I'm speechless. The protesters were still negotiating w/ the administration when Shafik called in the cops, yet the university chose, as it has at every other juncture, to escalate. There was no public safety emergency that justified the violence we saw.

One way to describe Nellie Bowles' 'German great-great-great-grandfather' is as a San Francisco butcher.

Another is as the 'the Cattle King of California,' the largest landowner in the U.S., and founder of a family fortune that's lasted six generations.

The thing is that ppl who experienced the 2020 uprisings during a critical time in their political development can’t be fooled into believing that students who are protesting mass slaughter by going into a building are nearly as violent as the armed forces that pulled them out

Just give Biden 20 years on Gaza. He's been wrong about every major issue at the time (Vietnam, crime bill, Iraq, etc) but usually comes around within a few decades.

This was Biden’s perspective during the anti-war protests for Vietnam.

This could’ve been written about his position on Gaza - he is simply being consistent.
