Like... yes honey jail is boring. (And horrifying! But a lot of boring.)

UPDATE: Even though he lost his lawsuit and the state spent $20,000 fighting it, Calvin finally got blankets he's not allergic to.

Two months after that tweet below, the prison randomly gave him the blankets he'd been asking for all along. His sores and scratching cleared up.

Just finished the evocative memoir Corrections in Ink by Keri Blakinger. 🦷🦷🦷 Change begins with hope and the motivation to make a difference in the lives of others.

And I was blown away by our Keynote Speaker, Keri Blakinger Keri Blakinger, who speaks about the absolutely inhumane treatment of Texas prisoners with so much humanity and moral clarity, it breaks my heart. Y'all please read her book, it's really f-ing great.
