Last week’s verdicts were a rare victory in the Stardust families’ campaign for justice.

However the relief of these verdicts is intertwined with righteous anger.

The state must ensure that a group never need to fight as hard for justice as the Stardust families had to do.

The Govt’s decision to oppose a seismic climate case at the ECHR is totally at odds with its climate ambition and rhetoric.

But the revelation that it was Minister Eamon Ryan who chose to intervene is truly astounding.

The Minister has serious questions to answer.
