Batteries can cause fires in bin lorries. Last week our recycling crew in Kings Hedges & Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service dealt with this fire in their lorry - they acted fast and everyone was ok. Always recycle batteries SEPARATELY - bag and leave on top of bin lids.
