Each sunflower's head is made of smaller flowers.

The disc florets in the middle, where the seeds develop, have both male and female sex organs, and each produce a seed.

Bonus: these mini-flowers pattern contains many Fibonacci spirals.

I LOVE verbena. But I also *can* understand why people might find its self-seeding a bit annoying. I've only ever planted verbena right at the bottom of my back garden. Yet here it is, happily at home in the front garden 😂 I did not put you there!
