One of my favorite play ideas I jotted down while watching the 2024 NFL draft highlights. My previous post on it was a spur of the moment recording with my phone, but here's a detailed drawing along with a clip of the wide copy of this Mesh Rail play.

Something I enjoy about watching the draft is the highlights and every now and then you see some play ideas to jot down, like this mesh toure from Western Kentucky.

Against this defensive look on P & 10/ 1st &10 normal clock situations, what calls do you like from an 11p 3x1 set with the back to and away from the trips? Trips is to the field.

One of my favorite concepts. Patience by the slot receiver and a goid pump fake by the QB is crucial to the success of the play.

Coach clinic format question. Do you prefer Q & A after the presentation or would you rather have the ability to ask questions during the presentation?

For context there's a hard stop at the end of the speakers time slot.

1999 Indianapolis Colts with Peyton Manning at QB throwing an 80 yard td pass using hard sell playaction off their 45 Bob run (Weak Rt 245 Bob X Post). The Safety to the field triggered on the run action leaving a void in the coverage.

Most coaches I polled a while back regarding this concept seemed to favor this progression. Open to other thoughts on it.

Dart run scheme from trips with a frontside Glance into the boundary and backside 'Shock' concept to the field which provides an answer vs man free coverage.

Bendback play with presnap fly motion from a condensed formation. Misdirection concept that's a compliment to inside zone.

Block destruction with a nice added bonus of making the tackle for a loss.

2023 College and NFL Season Perimeter Screens (Bubble, Now, Jailbreak, etc.). 133 FBS offenses averaged 4.1 per game (12 games). 32 NFL offenses averaged 2.7 per game (17 games). Varies from team to team, but the average per game wasn't as wide as I thought going in.

A 'Special' for any team that uses GT counter in their offense. Double pass off GT counter action.

This is one of those plays I tag when I come across it while researching something completely different. 12P Wing slot set with a far back. Q Counter action with the back up the seam. Not hard to imagine why this action sucked up the backers who were looking to fit counter.
