Last week more than 80 students gathered for the return of our annual International Dinner, featuring French, German, Chinese, and Spanish food prepared by Culinary Club students alongside FLIK. Students also performed karaoke to iconic songs in the languages they are studying!

We can at least agree on one thing: helping serve our local community. St. X and Trinity are joining forces this week to collect food and monetary donations for Dare to Care in the inaugural Tackling Hunger Together Food Drive.

The new Tiger Mentors program connects all freshmen with an upperclassman. Not only will our freshmen benefit from the relationship, but mentors will learn leadership skills.

After one week of school, Spanish 2 students with Sra. Tapia had a great brain break by dancing to the Latin rhythm of Vivir mi Vida by Marc Anthony. Bienvenidos a Saint Xavier High School

Last week French 2 students read and interpreted the profiles of real dogs listed for adoption at a shelter in Quebec. Then they practiced writing their own pet profiles. A fun way to start the new school year!

After recommending and voting on book titles, students could sign up for a choice of 30 books for their summer reading selection. Today we broke into more than 75 different groups to discuss books. St. X is proud to promote a love of reading through student choice. #WeAreStX
