Are you curious how age & Alzheimer's affect neural activity in the hippocampus? (think replay, theta sequences...)

Want to develop novel interventions to try and preserve memory function?

I'm looking for a postdoc to dig into these questions with me! jobrxiv.org/job/gillespie-…

Congratulations to Anna! So well deserved, we are so lucky to work with her. And congratulations to the other Hanna Gray Fellows!! Super excited to see the support for these promising young scientists and looking forward to the discoveries they will make.

The Peters Lab is now open at Oxford and ready to build a team!
We'll study how the brain learns and controls behavior, especially in the cortex-basal ganglia-thalamus circuit.

Really interesting results and beautifully executed work from Julie Lee. I'm tweeting just to say how much I love Fig 3e, which has the main results plus exactly the controls you want to see, all in one elegant little plot that is immediately clear (to me at least). Wonderful!!

This is absurd, it must be completely wrong. I'm sure someone told me that mice don't use vision, and that they don't have any kind of complex behaviors.

Thanks to funding from multiple sources that contributed to aspects of this ambitious work, especially NIDAnews, The Pew Trusts, and the Klingenstein Foundation. end/
