It’s clear that Sarll will need to recruit two or three midfielders. Kellermann leaving Woking and Rohan Ince transfer listed, both enjoyed success under Sarll but Ince will demand a fee.

The rest about as expected, and a chance to ship off some of the signings that didn’t quite work out two years ago.

Headline is that Cooke and Crawford released, while Ferguson and Featherstone offered new deals. In all, a sizeable clear out with the hopes to ship one or two more (Dixon and Onariase transfer listed).

Says the board was involved in the decision to part ways with Kevin Phillips.

Says it wasn’t the cheap option, and states it was done to give the club chance to “succeed next season.”

Kevin Phillips has revealed he was offered a two-year deal by Hartlepool to stay as on their manager before that deal was withdrawn.
