RECYCLING EVENT IN SETAUKET THIS MORNING
There is a Town of Brookhaven Recycling event this morning at the Setauket Fire Department at the Nicolls Rd Station. Includes paper-shredding, safe disposal of unused electronic devices, and prescription drug take back. Runs 9am to 1pm.

Suffolk's disaster recovery site is open at the Rose Caracappa Senior Center at 739 Route 25A in Mount Sinai, 11766. The site is open daily from 8am to 7pm.

Today's Assembly's Energy Comm hearing at Bkhaven Town Hall learned that Gov Cuomo intervened in talks between LIPA and PSEG leading PSEG to acquiesce to LIPA’s demands in late June on a contract that would keep the New Jersey company as grid manager.
