Everytime I go by this it's just that much closer to being finished & open!

So excited for this & for the Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) team reaching the end of what has been such a long journey for Joan's Place to come to fruition.

Susan Stevenson With all due respect, Susan Stevenson, I have 2 wishes for you:

1) That you never have to endure the tragedy of falling through society’s cracks.

2) That in case you do, you are represented and supported by elected officials with more empathy than you seem to have.

Here is the thing about capital gains.

It is income.

If the person swinging a hammer, or putting in an IV, or growing the food, or teaching your kids has to pay taxes on their full income, why again should millionaire investors not have to pay taxes on 75% of theirs?

Susan Stevenson “We have not received any funding from any provincial body to launch recovery programs. It is a fantastic sign that our provincial government makes recover one of their health priorities … we would certainly welcome any resources that would come to London.”

I cannot believe you posted this about human beings Councillor Susan Stevenson

“Zombie-like people”

No. People who use drugs are people. Real human beings

People forced to live outside due to decades of housing neglect

People largely without healthcare or supports

This is…

The prices will not drop on anything. You'll still pay the same amount for stuff. That extra $ will go to corporate profit, but you will not get the $840+/year rebate. Everything you blame on the carbon tax that is now more expensive is because of corporate profits and greed.

I can’t confirm that this is the boldest housing plan in Canadian history, but this is easily the boldest in my lifetime, and I’m pretty old.

More work to do, but this is absolutely transformative stuff.

When I talk to people about the cost of living crisis, they usually talk about housing or food – not bags at the LCBO.

Let’s try fewer distraction tactics and more delivering relief for the millions of Ontarians who are struggling just to find a home they can afford.

With a shortage of housing options, high rent and home prices, it feels like the deck is stacked against young people.

We need home prices within reach—quick. That’s why we’re launching the Housing Infrastructure Fund, to increase supply and make housing fairer for everyone.

New podcast!

Peter Fragiskatos joined me to talk carbon pricing and school lunches!

My key thing: If you don't like the carbon tax, that's fine. But if your proposed replacement is 'nothing', that is unserious.

Proud to stand alongside federal colleagues as they announce a new Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund.

With direct funding to municipalities, we are able to address urgent infrastructure needs like water/wastewater, boosting developments of all kinds in London.

David Piccini Doug Ford You're the joke. 3 cents/l to make total carbon tax 17 cents/l. Meanwhile oil firms raise gas price whenever they want to maximize profits. 15 cents increase in last 2 weeks. But no comments from you about obscene profits in oil industry!
