Radde's Warbler, Low Newton this morning, thanks to Gary Woodburn . A real skulker, at one point it called twice and popped up very briefly no more than a metre away from us! Too quick for photo so this more distant record is the best I got. #sibes #Northumberland Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club
Whenever I'm lucky enough to see a Firecrest, I feel I have to draw it...The pencil then colour added... #Northumberland #FieldNotes #BirdArt #Sketching
An hour around home this morn #vizmig had 330 Pinkfeet, 80 Skylark, 12 Siskin, 2 Grey Wag, 10 Redwing and 8 Blackbirds. A 4 Goldcrests and Blackcap in garden sycamores the only grounded migrants. #Northumberland Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club
Remember a couple of months back when PM Johnson was a corrupt liar whos own party sacked him?
Then the new candidates, Sunak, Mordaunt, Braverman werent good enough to beat Lizz Truss? This is how low the Conservatives have to stoop to find a new PM.

Alan Curry Stewart πβ Paul Davidson That's what I thought too! I've seen Stewart there twice, and Bluetail 3 times π
Now that the East Siberian Wagtail that we found in 2020 has been formally accepted, I thought it was appropriate to get our friend Phil Jones to do the honours and produce us a painting. Very pleased with the result.

A bit of a frustrating day, which seems weird to say when Surf Scoter, BTD, Slav Grebe, Little Auk, Firecrest, LEO, 5 SEO and plenty of other bits featured on the patch, but the sibe eluded us at Boulmer.
Always tomorrow...
