On this day in 1930, novelist/playwright/screenwriter Bruce Jay Friedman was born in The Bronx, New York. He's the man behind such works as 'Steambath,' 'The Heartbreak Kid,' and 'Stir Crazy,' amongst others. I was fortunate to have Mr. Friedman sign my copy of his 2011 memoir.
