this morning, Wellington City has woken up to a new set of planning policies that enable a bucket fountain more housing than what was enabled only yesterday.

Better things are absolutely, positively possible. 💪

WELLINGTON DISTRICT PLAN: Signing letter this morning to Wellington City Council notifying them I have accepted nine of their alternative recommendations to me over the Wgtn District Plan, relating to development around Adelaide Road, the walkable catchment around the City Centre Zone 1/

Rebecca's right and I'd make two extra comments:
1) upzoning Kilbirnie enabled much more housing capacity than was lost via the heritage listings; and
2) the Minister's decision on heritage listings suggests it's a procedural problem rather than a strategic one.
