Driver stopped in Haslemere by #SPCasualtyReduction Officer as travelling at 40mph in a 30 limit.

Found they had applied for a provisional licence as Indian licence entitlements had expired, but failed take a test, had no supervisor or L plates. Driver summonsed & vehicle seized

⚖️COURT RESULT

Simon MCCORMACK (38) of Mere Road, Weybridge was found guilty of 2 counts of driving whilst disqualified & 2 counts of driving w/out insurance.
Due to previous offending, he was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison for the 4 offences & ordered to pay £154 in surcharges

Vehicle stopped in Walton by #VanguardRST as they witnessed the driver using their phone.

When stopped, it was found the driver was not insured.

Vehicle seized and driver reported for both offences, and will now receive a court summons.

And whilst there’s no law about other protective clothing, specialised motorcycle gear is highly recommended.

Just like a seatbelt, it could save your life.

#SPCasualtyReduction Officer stopped this vehicle on Ashley Road, Walton, as it was recorded at 63mph; over double the 30mph limit! The driver also almost missed the officer standing in the road requesting them to stop. Driver summonsed to court.

They are investigating an assault on cyclist that happened on Saturday 22 July 2023. The victim, a woman cyclist was riding along Marsh Green Road towards Lingfield ( #Surrey ).

Last week, #VanguardRST attended Povey Cross Road, #Horley to conduct #speed enforcement. The road is subject to a 30mph limit, but several drivers (including those picured) were recorded in excess of this, were stopped & issued a TOR.

The driver was over the limit and therefore summonsed to court. However, didn’t turn up to the court hearing, so she’ll be spending the rest of Sunday in a cell, and put before the next available court.
